Edward Mulvihill is an Australian born artist currently living in Sydney. In parallel to working as a commercial and editorial fashion photographer, Mulvihill makes art objects. For Mulvihill, fashion and art are not separate disciplines, they are semantic-cultural objects. Mulvihill brings to his practices a rich understanding of art history and philosophy, a freedom for experimentation and play, understanding that the most rewarding outcomes are found, not expected. Moreover his interest in multi-modal, social-semiotic theory gives him the resources to read and create meaning across a range of mediums and media. He holds a Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts from the National Art School Sydney.
